Agronomic and morphological characters of some common vetch (Vicia sativa L.) genotypes under Trakya region conditions [Turkey]

The objective of this research is to determine the most suitable common vetch genotypes for forage and seed yield in the Trakya Region. Eleven common vetch genotypes (Kubilay, Karaelci, Yesilkoy, Orem varieties and Sarielci, Yesilsivas, Tokat, Corum, Sivas, 283 and 25 line) were tested. According to the results, there were significant differences in plant height, pod number per plant, seed number per pod, pod width, pod length, thousand seed weight, forage and dry matter yield and seed yield. It was concluded that Orem and Kubilay varieties were suitable for forage production, in addition to line 283 could for seed production.
