The studies pertaining to spatial and temporal distribution of Chilocorus infernalis (Mulsant) on different varieties of apple trees was conducted on the private apple orchards in Kashmir (Pakistan) during 27th March to 10th September 2000. The distribution pattern of C. infernalis was examined in two localities (Dheerkot and Rawalakot) at four sites. The intra-tree variation on different apple trees was obvious. From a total number of 498 collected specimens (larva, pupa and adult) of C. infernalis on different varieties of apple trees, greater numbers (427) of specimen were collected from Dheerkot locality compared to Rawalakot (71). Out of 427 specimens, 378 specimens of C. infernalis were collected from Sarfraz Abbasi Apple Orchard (SAAO) compared to Tazeem Abbasi Apple Orchard (TAAO) i.e. 49. A significant (P less than 0.001) difference in predator population at both sites of Dheerkot was also evident from the present data. It appeared that C. infernalis population on apple varied significantly (P less than 0.005) throughout the sampling period at SAAO, Dheerkot.
