The present studies were under taken in the rice fields at Adaptive Research Farm, District Sheikhupura to study the comparative efficacy of different doses of cartap and carbofuran for control of rice stem borer on Basmati-super. All the test insecticides proved effective against rice stem borer because in treated plots, significantly low borer infestation was recorded compared with control. However, cartap (T2) dose 17.5 kg/ha 35 DAT + 9 kg 55 DAT proved the best against rice stem borer than rest of the doses of cartap and carbofuran and highest yield was observed.
