The oil was extracted from cotton seed variety Li by using n-hexane as solvent. The colour was brownish yellow for this variety. Average specific gravity was 0.902 plus-minus 0.000. Refractive index was 1.416 plus-minus 0.000. Average percentage of free fatty acids was 1.138 plus-minus 0.002%. Average acid value was 2.285 plus-minus 0.003 Average peroxide value was 0.264 plus-minus 0.003. Average iodine value was 78.485 plus-minus 0.032. The oil cake obtained after the extraction of oil analyzed and results obtained for cotton seed cake of variety Li shows that average dry matter 92.758 plus- minus 0.005% and average moisture contents was 7.242 plus-minus 0.005%. Average percentage of ash (on dry weight basis) 6.184 plus-minus 0.014%. Average percentage of crude fibre on dry weight basis 16.236 plus-minus 0.005%. Average percentage of true protein was 17.683 plus-minus 0.010%.
