Organic farming - an alternative for Polish agriculture

In the paper the perspective for the development of organic agriculture in Poland was discussed. Organic agriculture is practiced in almost all countries of the world, and its share of agricultural land and farms is growing. Actually the total organically managed area is more than 22 million hectares world-wide. Since 1999 the number of organic farms in Poland has significantly increased, although they cover only about 40 thousand of ha and their percent share in total area of agricultural lands is still low (0.3 percent)
