Total amount of the above-mentioned heavy metals in water has been assessed on three differently polluted sampling stations: with relatively clean water, with heavily polluted water, with considerably polluted water. Investigations show that the minimal values of heavy metals concentrations in the Vistula correspond to heavy metals content in clean waters, while maximal values in some cases to concentrations in heavily polluted waters
