The relationship between absorbance and iron concentration in ground and surface water on the area of peat soils
2002
Nadany, P. | Sapek, A. (Institute for Land Reclamation and Grassland Farming, Falenty (Poland). Dept. of Soil and Water Chemistry)
The research was aimed at characterization of relationship between iron and fulvic acids in waters from three different objects of Biebrza River Valley. Two objects were situated in low basin of Biebrza National Park and one on managed grassland. In the samples of ground, surface, drinking water, and soil solution there were determinated iron concentration and absorbance (for 280, 472 and 664 nm). The correlation of iron concentration with absorbance for 280 and 472 nm in ground and surface water indicates on fulvic acids participations in mowing iron from soil to groundwater
