The purpose of the study was to determine the quantitative composition of Fusarium and Pythium genera under different potato development stages . Aster cultivar potato was cultivated in two systems: conventional and ecological. The microbiological analysis showed that the Fusarium spp. dominated over Pythium ssp. Density of investigated fungi population depended significantly on plant growth stage. During the maturity stage the greatest number of Fusarium spp. was isolated from the potato rhizoplane, while Pythium spp. were most frequently isolated from rhizosphere
