Slope covers as the soil parent material in the western Bieszczady Mts

The aim of the research presented in this paper was to characterize the properties of soils against the back-ground of the profiles of slope deposits in selected catenas in the Bieszczady Mts. and to determine whether the soil properties are controlled by bedrock or by rediposited and transformed slope deposits. The results show that in most cases slope covers are the parent material of soils in the investigated catenas and discontinuities resulting from the action of morphogenetic processes can be observed in the investigated soil profiles
