[Raising the economic efficiency of functioning of peasant's farms]

The present research is focused at studying the regularities of functioning and development of the farms set up while reforming the agrarian sector of Ukraine's economy with the aim to scientifically substantiate rational sizes of the farms and to optimize branch structure thereof with regard to their resource potential, specialization level and development tendencies. As a result, the proposals directed at the raising economic efficiency of the farms are worked out. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the fact that in order to raise the economic efficiency of functioning of the farms for the first time methods of determining the rational sizes and optimum branch structure of the peasant's farms of the region under study are improved with regard to their specialization, including livestock farms
