[Ecological rehabilitation of Donetsk Basin's population health: problems and ways of solving thereof]

Stidied are the negative effect of production growth rate on human health and the development of so-called "civilization diseases". In Ukraine high concentration of industrial and agricultural production, transport infrastructure in combination with the significant population density have created a great load on biosphere. Characterized is Donetsk oblast's ecological state. In connection with the deterioration of the social and economic and ecological conditions the epidemiological situation remains unfavourable. The critical ecological problems are caused by intensifying the agricultural production. Also the demographic situation in Donetsk oblast is analyzed, information on the social economic conditions of population's life, negative state of children's health is given. Pulmonary tuberculosis and occupational diseases problems remain serious. Substantiated is the necessity of carrying out scientific research in the field of ecological rehabilitation of the state of human health, forming biogeochemical endemy and medical criteria of ecological safety
