[Hygienic aspects of realizing the Law of Ukraine "On atmospheric air protection"]

Based on the analysis of Ukraine's legislation adopted, the tasks are determined, solving of which will contribute to improving the normative acts in the field of sanitary protection of the atmospheric air, sanitary-engineering measures. Provided are comments on some of the provisions, omissions and drawbacks. The necessity is substantiated of the sufficient and full information database on quantitative and qualitative indices of the pollutants, a methodological concept of determining a cause-and-effect relation between the environmental pollution, organization and functioning of the system of social-hygienic monitoring for full realization of the Law of Ukraine "On atmospheric air protection". Social-hygienic monitoring is being linked with adopting and realizing " The national plan of actions in the field of environmental hygiene for the years 2000-2005"
