Economic traits of wheat production

Authors discuss the economic indicators of wheat production on individual and state farms. The starting hypothesis was that exactly the economic factors were the primary ones in wheat production especially for milling and bakery industry. Wheat is principal product in our country. Today, wheat is grown on a quarter of all available cultivated land in Serbia and Montenegro. Dominant wheat producing region is Vojvodina where wheat has been being grown on 300000 hectares of land which accounts for almost 50% of total cultivated area. Applying comparative-analytical method and standard mathematic-statistic indicators, an attempt was made to evaluate conditions and results in wheat production from economic point of view.
