The major aims of this research were to identify allelic polymorphism of genes encoding ACC synthase and ACC oxidase in analyzed autochthonous and standard apple cultivars and selections, with different fruit storage capabilityto investigate correlation between allelic constitution of the cultivars and selections for ACC synthase and ACC oxidase and the length of storage capabilityand to determine map position of the genes encoding ACC synthase and ACC oxidase on the apple linkage map.
