Possibilities for homogeneous mixing of microingredients with different particle size in feed

Making a quality dry mixture with uniform dispersion of highly concentrated microingredients is a major challenge for the feed manufacturer. In practice, a perfect mixture cannot be achieved. The aim of our experimental investigations was to work out possibilities for homogeneous mixing of wheat midlings different in particle size with microcomponents different in particle sizes in different mixing ratios. Microtracers based on colored iron particles were used as the indicators of homogeneity. Differences between required and in samples determined microtracers content are shown as the coefficients of variation (Cv). A desirable Cv for well mixed feed should be at or below 10%.
