Microclimate conditions and ripening of the vegetables depending on soil mulching and plants covering
2004
Ponjican, O.
The analysis of microclimate conditions, while using the different materails for soil mulching and plants covering during production of vegetables on the field and in the greenhouses as well as its influence on vegetables ripening dynamics, were the aim of this thesis. The prototype of machine for mechanize soil mulching with the plastic films with different width, depth and type of materials along with simultaneous setting up the drip lines for irrigation was tested in exploitation conditions on the field. The results of researching confirms that we can exert influence on air and soil temperature in direct closeness of plant by using materials for mulching with different physical and chemical characteristics. Estimated mathematical models based on values of the global Sun emission and temperature of the environment air can predict the air and soil temperatuire in the direct closeness of the grown plants. The optimal choice of materials for mulching and plant covering can be done by results of researching in the aim of getting the maximal and the earliest yield.
