The paper analyses the tendency of changes of gross domestic product (GDP) of agriculture in Serbia (Yugoslavia)in the period of 1952-2002. The two classes of non-stationary processes that may be applied for modeling trend of this time series are considered: difference stationary (DS) and trend stationary (TS) processes. The character of trend was examined by means of unit root tests. The choice of adequate trend model is very important both for analysis and forecasting of GDP of agriculture.
