Addae-Mensah, I. | Achenbach, H.
This West African species is used medicinally and as a dye source. The ethanol extract of the leaves (collected in Ghana) yielded mainly flavonoid glycosides. Rutin predominated and quercetin 3-glucoside, quercetin, myricetin 3-glucoside and myricetin 3-rhamnoside were also identified. Several sterols were isolated from the petrol extract of the roots.
