In Hungary after the appearance of Phylloxera principally american species (Vitis riparia, Vitis rupestris, Vitis monticola) were used as rootstock. These rootstocks were not suitable within our soil and climatic conditions. The rootstocks were not suitable within our soil and climatic conditions.
