Experiments to determine whether concentrated natural regeneration of the commercially valuable species present in coupe 2 could be obtained by manipulation of the existing canopy and describes treatments of plots laid out in 1947 in this mixed rain forest; regeneration and establishment of the desired species were adequate. Girth-increment data of sample trees are given on the basis of annual measurements since 1955.
