An experiment was conducted to determine the effect of foliar spray of brassinosteroid (BR), triacontanol, salicylic acid, naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) and mepiquat chloride on yield and biochemical parameters of pearl millet. Application of these growth regulators, increased the content of chlorophyll, soluble protein, nitrate reductase activity, uptake of nitrogen (N), grain protein and total sugar content. Among the treatments, brassinosteriod (0.1 ppm) and triacontanol (10 ppm) were found to be the best in increasing the grain yield.
