Application of forest fertilization models in culm-producing stands for moso bamboo [Phyllostachys pubescens]

In this paper, the amount of fertilization to be applied was proposed for culm-producing stand of Moso bamboo before the fertilization based on the study of biomass target, site nutrient effect model and biomass models. The field fertilizer experiment was conducted in Taojiang County, Hunan province, one of the Moso bamboo growing base areas in China for two years. The results showed that the treatment of quantity determination of fertilization enhanced the number of 1-yr-old bamboo and their biomass, and less increment of D. B. H was found. The benefits analysis indicated that the treatment of quantity determination of fertilization was better than other fertilization treatments, shared 6000 RMB yuan of net income and 80.7% of inner revenue rate (IRR).
