Summary The pond of garden in the castle town gets generally water from water course running out of the samurai residence, and returns it to, the same water course. But, the special water course exists rarely. The water runs from garden to garden directly. This type of water course exist now at Matsushiro, Obata and Akizuki. This study aims to clear characteristics of special water courses and the differences among three castle towns. As a result, it becomes clear that each towns has completely different characteristics of water courses. Their aims and their extents are different too.
