Recognizign the necessity and potentiality of agroforestry, this study was carried out the practical experiment for a silvopastoral system in the 4.2ha of a natural Pinus densiflora forest, where three different levels of thinning intensity(A:120 stems/ha, B:200stems/ha, and C:400stems/ha) were applied. After thinning, Changes of stand characteristics were pursued for species composition, stand factors, canopy coverage, species diversity, light intensity, above ground biomass and leaf area index(LAI).
