The factors influencing rural tourism enterprise

Entrepreneurial activity in the branch of tourism is influenced by various factors. Among them are both the factors of risk and the factors of success and braking. During the research the questionnaire was given to 198 enterprises, involved in the rural tourism in Latvia. According to the data of the questionnaire, the main factors of success in rural tourism are marketing and advertisement; finance and financial management; the range of services. The main factors that hinder the development of the rural tourism in Latvia: consumers' solvency and the lack of financial resources. Within the research the interrelation between the duration of the enterprise in the rural tourism and the factors hindering the rural tourism in Latvia was examined according to the SPSS programme. The correlation "the duration of the enterprise" was evaluated by two factors: the attitude from state and municipal institutions; the increase of building expenses. The main factors of risk in rural tourism are external ones (particularly affecting the honest entrepreneurs of the tourism branch); the external factors of risks can be divided in the factors of direct and indirect effect.
