To extend the crushing period of the existing sugar industryand to produce more sugar for the domestic use as well as forexport trials were conducted. The results obtained were not onlyencouraging, but also gave a good signal of adaptability to thePunjab and Sindh climate. Kawe Terma, a variety of German originwas found to be more suited to these areas.
