This study was carried at the University College of Agriculture,Rawalakot during 2001-2002 to find out the effect of pruning andfertilizer application on growth and yield of apple cultivar GoldenDelicious. Heavy, moderate and light pruning were applied with andwithout fertilizer application. Single super phosphate, sulphate of potashand urea one kg plant-1 at the ratio of 1:1:1 were applied. Moderatepruning plus fertilizer application gave better shoot length (142.9 cm),more buds (121.0), more fruit set (390.0), fruit retained (320.3), maximumfruit weight (40.70 kg) and excellent quality fruit with higher score.
