Productivity of black-and-white cows with different percentage of hf genes used in Agricultural Experimental Station at the Agricultural University in Lublin
2000
Piech, M. | Tarkowski, J.
The studies concerned milk, fat and protein efficiency, fat and protein percent in milk of 1018 cows in 6 consecutive lactations between 1980-88. There were considered 6 genetic groups: 1 Polish Black-and-White (cb)2 25 percent Holstein-Friesian (hf)3 (25 percent hf)4 (25.1-50.0 percent hf)5 (50 percent hf) and 6 (50 percent hf). No connection between productivity level and percent of hf gene was found out. The highest yields were observed among cows with 25 percent hf: 5520 kg of milk, 219 kg of fat and 166 kg of proteinthe lowest among cows with genotype 1-25 percent hf: 4513 kg of milk, 179 kg of fat and 135 kg of protein. The highest fat content (3,99 percent) was noted among cows from genetic group 6 (50 percent hf), the lowest (3.95 percent) among cows from genetic group 3 (25 percent hf). Protein content ranged from 3.05 percent for genetic group 3 (25 percent hf)to 3.13 percent for genetic group 2 (25 percent hf). Repeatability for milk, fat and protein efficiency, protein and fat content ranged from r'
