The paper presents the results of laboratory investigation on erosion of the liquid mud which origin from the end of channalized section of Odra river. Characteristics of the mud include physical and rheological properties obtained by rotary viscometer. The paper presents methodology of determine rheological and erosion properties of liquid mud which have properties of non-Newtonian liquid. These rheological properties of mud were described by Bingham model body in limit of investigation. Results of investigation present relationship between critical bottom shear for begin of erosion and rheological yield stress. Determine also factors of intensity of erosion for cohesive bed load for examined mud depends strongly on the structure of deposited sediment. Existing strong aggregates increase the resistant to erosion. Generally erosion of the liquid river mud depends on their physical and rheological properties and their structure
