Medicinal weeds in the segetal communities of the Konin Brown Coal Basin (Poland)

The aim of this paper is to present to share of medicinal weeds in segetal communities of Konin Brown Coal Basin (Poland) growing on fields with long tradition of cultivation as well as on fresh reclaimed mine lands. The results are based on 821 releves, 345 of which were obtained in cultivated fields situated on reclaimed mine lands. Overall, the fields in area under study yielded 364 taxa of vascular plants and 26 bryophytes. From this number, 31 are pharmacopeian medicinal plants. The share of medicinal plants in fields with a long cultivation is similar to that on cultivated mine refuse pile lands and amounts to 55 percent
