Major directions of meadow succession on anthropogenically transformed areas in the Barycz River valley (Poland)

The objective of the research project was to present regeneration studies major possible directions of succession occurring at present in the Barycz River valley (Poland) both on meadows and pastures as well as on the adjacent selfturfing abandoned arable land. The results were elaborated on the basis of 600 floristic releves in the lower, central and upper sections of the valley. The current floristic condition of many grass communities on meadows and pastures, often presents degradation stages of economically valuable associations, which occurred here in the past
