Study on life of small reservoirs in each region of Thailand

Objects of the project are: to find the total sediment deposition in each small reservoirs from 23 reservoirs in Thailand. The conclusion of the results from the projects in each region are: Northern region: There are nine reservoirs were studied between the year 1983-1991. Capacity of the reservoirs between 1,332.60-121,323.93 cubic meters, the watershed areas about 0.05-1.12 square kilometers and the slope of the watersheds between 5-40 percentages. The results of the projects were shown that the total sediment deposition in the reservoirs were about 8.90-5,423.10 cubic meters per year. The estimation of the life of the reservoirs about 5-170 years after the last year of studying. North-Eastern region: There are seven reservoirs were studied between the year 1983-1990. Capacity of the reservoirs between 6,270.00-25,206.04 cubic meters the watershed areas about 0.24-9.10 square kilometers and the slope of the watersheds between 3-10 percentages. The total sediment deposition in that reservoirs were about 48.16-413.00 cubic meters per year. The estimation of the life of the reservoirs about 15-540 years after the last year of studying. Eastern region: There are three reservoirs were studied between the year 1983-1991. Capacity of the reservoirs between 1,268.65-1.04,928.52 cubic meters, the watershed areas about 0.20-5.86 square kilometers and the slope of the watersheds between 2.4-12.8 percentages. The total sediment deposition in the reservoirs were about 37.94-970.20 cubic meters per year. The estimation of the life of the reservoirs about 9-73 years after the last year of studying. Southern region: There are four reservoirs were studied between the year 1983-1993. Capacity of the reservoirs between 5,026.22-19,675.88 cubic meters, the watershed areas about 0.92-3.36 square kilometers. The total sediment deposition in the reservoirs were about 45.29-548.76 cubic meters per year. The estimation of the life of the reservoirs about 4-124 years after the last year of studying.
