Scanning elektron microscopic investigation of the mohair in Turkish Angora Goats

Morphology of mohair from 20 Angora goats aged between 12 to 18 months was investigated by scanning electron microscopy in this study. The mohair samples were studied by the scanning alectron microscope. The statistical results were evaluated by UNIVARIATE procedure of SAS programme. The cuticle surface was formed by irregular pentagon, hexagon and trapezoid scales that lined up similar to fish scale. A small correlation between the height and number of scales was determined
