Effects of climate factors on yield and nitrogen content of corn in nitrogen fertilization
2005
Ekberli, I. | Horuz, A. | Korkmaz, A.
In this study, effects of humid and subhumis conditions on yield and N content were investigated in the application of nitrogen fertilization. Functional relationships among N fertilizers doses, grain and straw yield depending on climatic conditions, and different amount of grain yield with fertilizer applications were determined. The relationships for grain yield were determined with respect to fertilizer doses, hydrothermic constant and precipitation amount. Theoretical maximum yield amount was determined from these relations. When amount of nitrogen fertilizer was 22.68 kg/da, maximum yield was estimated as 22.69 kg/da. When total precipitation amount was 126.1 mm and amount of nitrogen fertilizer was 22.69 kg/da in the same vegetation period, maximum yield was estimated as 945.21 kg/da
