Stability analysis and determination of seed yield and yield components of candidate vetch (Vicia sativa L.) varieties in Middle Black Sea region

The aim of this research was to determine the yield, yield components and yield stability of 12 common vetch genotypes. The experiment design was randomized block design with three replications. Experiments were conducted in Carsamba, Bafra and Gokhoyuk in the growing season of 2003-2004. Mean yield of genotypes, regression coefficiant, deviation from regression and determination coefficient, coefficient variation, regression line intercept were evaluated as stability parameters. In this research, significant differences were determined among biological yield, seed yield, days to maturity, thousand seed weight, pod number and seed number per pod. Genotypes number 2746 and 2751 showed high and stable yielding ability
