PMF (Probable maximum flood) being determined by several methods shall have different values with tolerance. The cause may be of deficit in timelength record. In case of short record, Lombardi's method always provides prone high PMF values.Calculated PMF value is higher than measured data, in even that historical flood event in Ca river in 1978, the calculated value was more higher 3 5 times comparing to measured data. At downstream of Ca river water level versus PMF is very high to which value is 510m higher comparing with maximum measured water level. The average crosssectional water velocity against PMF is so high that its may cause strong and terrible erosion. PMF with its big strength shall cause increasingly unbalance between water flow and sediment transportation, raise main flow velocity and obviously increase erosion in river.
