Provisional results from Khaya nyasica plantings at Mt. Selinda

Various trials of Khaya nyasica and some other indigenous species planted in Chirinda Forest and in the adjacent Ngungunyana Forest Land over the last 80 years are described. Although results are not definitive given uncertain ages, deaths, lack of replicated designs and site differences, growth of K. nyasica was good and illustrate its potential for establishment in plantations.
