Agrochemical characteristics of the soil in plum orchards, in the central Balkan mountain region

The nutritive regime of 20 plum orchards in the central Balkan mountain region has been studied in the period 2002-2004. Analysis data show considerable differences in the content of the mobile forms of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, manganese and of the values of actively acidity (pH) and humus in the soil of the individual micro regions. In the observed regions greatest differences is found in potassium and manganese content. It was established a negative correlation between the amount of active manganese and soil reaction (pH).
