The article is an overview of non-additivity of varous outputs of multiple use systems as a problem usually met by planners in evaluating alternative land use options. The study considered seven(two single use and five multiple use) production systems in a study of alternative uses for a track of crop land, owned by the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, for conversion to forestry.
