Study on possibilities for artificial insemination of parents Hybro of broiler direction

The aim of the study was to determine the possibillities for performing of artificial insemination for parent forms of broiler direction and the efect of quality of ejaculate, live weight of cocks and dose for insemination of birds. The present study was carried out with 30 cocks and 600 hens of parent combination Hybro. The preparation of cocks for release of semen was done in 18-20 weeks of age and sperm was obtained by the massage method. To the first massage positively reacted 22% of the cocks, to the second one - 34% and to the third - 68%. The qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the ejaculate were the following volume of the ejaculate - 0.93 ml, semen concentration - 3.59 mlrd/ml, motility of sperms - 8.93 grades, BOMC - 1.98 min, pathological forms - 22.16%. Concerning the influence of live weight on the conception ability of cocks it was found that these with weight corresponding to the average of the parent line were with a bout 1% higher conception ability compared to the heavier cocks. It was found that the use of artificial insemination as a biotechnical method for parent birds of hybrid combination Hybro. Utilization of cocks with live weight higher then the average did not lead to considerable decrease of insemination results. The proposed dose for insemination of the parent forms of broiler direction was 0.07 ml.
