Now the main problem in oil-and-fat production is the deficit of own vegetable oil for support of processing firms. The situation was developed in the way when the demand of the home market in vegetable oil 8 times exceeds the present level of its production in the republic. Because of this the capacities of the sectors of oil-and-fat production sub-complex are utilized on the average on 30-40%, and the market is stuffed with imported products.
