Analysis of modern world achievements in the field of establishment of the classification position of soils, the experimental material obtained as a result of scientific researches, the generalization of results of large-scale soil mapping made it possible to define the basic principles of creation of new classification of soils of Belarus, to specify the structure of its construction, to develop the nomenclature and system of type and diagnostic horizons, to establish diagnostic attributes of soils for their field definition. New classification of soils of Belarus in the systematized form reflects all materially existing variety of soils of the Republic according to the modern standard of knowledge and concepts about system-classification taxonomy with regard to natural and economic specific features of the region. Classification of soils of Belarus is constructed according to the principles providing the unity of allocation of hierarchical levels regardless of the degree of their antropogenic transformation and is presented in the clear form accessible for the practical using
