[Ecologiocal parameters and piscicultural characteristics of paddlefish (Polyodon Spathula Walbaum) in upgrowing at the Republic of Belarus fish pond farms]

It is shown that despite of paddlefish continuous wintering (5 months) his being at low water temperatures (0,2-2,4 deg C) and practically without nutrition during this term his depletion of stock nutrients was minor. Individuals having higher average mass possessed the best Clark's condition factor and exterrier parameters. Thus for large individuals the mass loss was 6,4% and for more small sized - 8,1%. Such regularity is observed for paddlefish of different weight categories within the limits of each age, and it allows to select better quality material with paddlefish breeding stock forming purpose. The four years paddlefishes with smaller stocking mass were characterized by higher growth potency
