[Dynamics of morbidity of urogenital tract of Еurореаn bison of Belovezhskaya Pushcha]

Dynamics of urogenital tract diseases in Еurореаn bison (Bison b. bonacus) of the National Park Belovezhskaya Pushcha of Belarus was presented. Results of the long-term (1966-2003) study of urogenital disease (Balanoposthitis) of European bison males were presented. The highest incidence of the disease was recorded in 1984-1993. Research results showed that the disease strongly affected the most productive part of population: young and middle-aged bulls. Statistical data on number of Еurореаn bison males in 1966-2003, number of shot off and fallen animals because of urogenital tract diseases was analyzed
