On the basis of analysis of present status of wool production and its market in China,some suggestions to promote the further development of wool production were put forword,such as developing the production of fine wool sheep with high quality,keeping the amount of fine wool sheep,focusing on increase of individual wool yield of sheep and wool quality,establishing production base of fine wool sheep with high quality,strengthening breed extension,reforming the purchasing methods and the circular system of wool, standardizing wool market, perfecting extensive regulation and control system of wool market and supporting the development of wool industry.
