Thrips species in alfalfa

In the present paper data about thrips species collected and observed on the alfalfa (Medicago sativa) are presented. A total of 12 thrips species was found. The most numerous was the species Odontothrips confusus. It is phytophagous, floricolous and stenofagous species which inhabits papilionaceous plants, especially Medicago sp. and Trifolium sp. Second to the Odontothrips confusum in number was predatory thrips Aeolothrips intermedius. The other collected species were less numerous.
