In the biennial period (2000-2002) were accomplished examinations of the influence of increasing dosages of nitrogen on the yield and grain quality of different sorts of winter wheat. The experiment was set dawn with following factors included: - fertilizing with dosages of nitrogen: No, N90, N120, N150, N180 kg/ha. On each examined variation were used 60 kg/ha P2O5 as well as 60 kg/ha K2O; and cultivars Prima, Anastasija, Zlatka, Renesansa, Rusija, Pobeda. Obtained results demostrate that the usage of nitrogen had positive effect on wheat grain in both experimental years and all cultivars examined. The highest average yield for all the cultivars was achieved with level of nitrogen 150 kg/ha. The highest yield had the cultivars Rusija with 6.674 kg/ha. Similar to yield, the influence of increasing doses of nitrogen was manifested also on wheat grain (mass of 1000 grains and hectoliter mass).
