The following types of conveyers are used as the mean of the inner seed transport during processing: rubber belt conveyer, rubber cassette conveyer, bucket elevator, scraper, vibrating (square or cylinder) conveyer, pneumatic conveyer with pendulum buckets. Each of these conveyers have advantages and disadvantages. The choice of the conveyer depends on the established technologies for seed processing. i.e. on the arrangement of premises and the equipment. Mechanical damages, i.e. visible and invisible injuries of seeds, that can be of a greater or a smaller effect on seed purity and germination, are the greatest disadvantage of conveyers. As there are no all types of conveyers is one processing plant, this study encompassed the observations of effects of seed transport by conventional bucket conveyers (metal buckets) and a conveyer with pendulum buckets (plastic buckets).
