Branch C of Pan-European transport corridor 10 passes through the territory of municipalities which gravitate to the Nisava valley, in the part from Nis (Serbia) to Bulgarian border. Due to favourable geographic location and existing natural potentials aiming at planned development of eco-tourism basic demographic potentials of the above mentioned territory have been discussed in this paper. Main tendencies in changes of the total population in settlements of analysed municipalities have been highlihted by methods of statistical analysis.
