Master thesis presents analyses of basic aspects of disposal of animal remains, as an important element of solving problem of waste management in general, as a part of an integrated system of different methods and activities, such as prevention of waste generation, reduction of waste, waste treatment and transport, planning and control of the waste management process. The first phase of solving the waste management problem should be the implementation of EU legislative in national regulations, on the basis of sustainable development principles, so this paper presents an analyse of both national and European Union legislative and also emphasize the importance of National Waste Management Strategy as the document which provides basic conditions for rational and sustainable waste management in the country. This thesis also presents the first version of original Visual Basic program UOAP v1.0 (Animal waste management) which presents some key elements of National Waste Management Strategy and also perform selected calculations of basic parameters in the matter of waste in general and animal waste as well.
